It is also compatible with most AR pistol stabilizing braces. The buffer tube is made from military-grade Type III black hard-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, known for its durability. The AR-15 pistol buffer tube assembly is critical for managing the energy produced when firing an AR pistol. Although not part of the gas system, it works alongside it to ensure proper balance, reduce recoil, and facilitate the cycling of the weapon.
