AR15 Jam Nut, Black Steel, 1/2x28mm. This reusable 1/2x28 muzzle brake jam nut is CNC machined from steel manufactured in the United States. It has a durable black oxide finish and fits AR-15.223, 5.56 rifles and handguns with a 1/2″x28 threaded barrel. The AR-15 Jam Nut is threaded onto the barrel before the muzzle device. Simply insert the jam nut on your barrel first, followed by the muzzle brake. When the brake is mounted properly, tighten the jam nut against it. The locking effect of the two pieces jammed against each other secures the brake in place. The best part is that if you change your mind or your timing is a little off, you can loosen the 1/2x28 muzzle brake jam nut and start over. This jam nut is compatible with any barrel with a 0.750" outer diameter and 1/2"–28 TPI (threads per inch).
