The UTG ACCU-SYNC 2018R Dot Sight for the AR-15 features a 1/3 co-witness height optic and a red 3.0 MOA single dot sight. It utilizes the standard mini ACOG® footprint and is compatible with Picatinny rails. This UTG ACCU-SYNC 2018R Dot Sight is designed for a lower 1/3 co-witness right out of the box. The optic features a red-illuminated 3 MOA dot with eight manually adjustable brightness settings. The illumination memory function conveniently returns users to the last brightness setting used upon activation. Fully sealed, ACCU-SYNC® dot sights are IPX7 waterproof-rated and constructed from matte black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. This UTG red dot sight is optimized for low power consumption and powered by a single CR2032 battery. A 30,000+ hour battery life (at middle brightness) comes standard. The mounting base uses the common mini ACOG® footprint and is configured for a lower 1/3 co-witness out of the box. Removing the included riser mount drops the height down to that of a low mount, providing users with two commonly used height profiles for different firearm applications. In addition, the base features squared recoil stops and the UTG QR (quick release) mount, making for quick installation and removal, reliable return to zero, and compatibility with all Picatinny rails, even those that may be out of spec. Tool-free tension adjustment is locked in place via a gear and spring-loaded locking lever interface, allowing users to set it once and forget it. The benefits of AR-15 1/3 co-witness sights sit just a bit above the regular iron sights, so you'll need to tilt your head down a little to line them up. This means you'll only see the iron sights in the lower third of the optic when you're looking normally. The optic is off-center from the bore, but it's not enough to mess with your shot. This setup gives you a clearer view since the sight isn’t too cluttered for fast shooting.
